Backlink monitoring tool that tracks new and lost links for you and your competitors

Updated · Pricing checked October 2026

What is Linkody?

Linkody is a backlink monitoring tool that tracks the links pointing to your websites and alerts you when links are gained, lost or changed. It checks links around the clock and sends daily email updates, so you can spot problems such as a removed link or a link pointing to a broken page. It also adds SEO metrics from several data providers to help you judge each link.

The tool is built for link builders, agencies managing many client domains and site owners who want to keep an eye on their link profile. Beyond monitoring, Linkody covers competitor research, link profile analysis and disavow file creation. Plans are priced by the number of websites and monitored links, starting with a small Webmaster tier and scaling to agency plans with more users.

How does Linkody work?

  1. Add your domains

Enter the websites you want to monitor. Linkody discovers existing backlinks automatically, and you can also add links you built manually.

  2. Add competitors

Track competitor domains to see the links they win. Competitor links do not count toward your monitored link quota.

  3. Review metrics and alerts

Each link is enriched with metrics such as Domain Rating, Domain Authority, Trust Flow and Spam Score, and you get daily emails about changes.

  4. Act and report

Recover lost links, disavow harmful ones and share branded PDF reports or CSV exports with clients.

Linkody FAQ

Is Linkody free?

Linkody is a paid tool, but it offers a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. The trial includes all features except CSV and PDF export. After the trial you pick a plan, with Webmaster as the cheapest option. The pricing page notes that accounts move to a free plan when a paid subscription ends, though its limits are not listed.

What is Linkody used for?

Linkody is used to monitor backlinks. It tracks the links pointing to your site, alerts you when links are lost or changed and adds SEO metrics to judge their quality. People also use it to spy on competitor links, find link gaps with Link Intersect and create disavow files for harmful links.

Linkody vs Ahrefs: what's the difference?

Ahrefs is a full SEO suite with its own link index, keyword research, site audits and rank tracking. Linkody focuses on monitoring your backlinks and alerting you to changes, and it displays Ahrefs Domain Rating alongside other metrics. Linkody is far cheaper and simpler, while Ahrefs covers many more SEO tasks.

Is Linkody good for agencies?

Yes. Linkody offers Agency and Agency XL plans that cover up to 100 websites and 50,000 monitored links, with several users, role-based access and white-label PDF reports. Agencies often use it to prove that the links they built for clients are still live and to spot lost links quickly.
